SUBJECT: How To Prepare For Clients [FREE]

You might not be the biggest or the strongest, but
you can always reach your goals in copywriting by
being well-prepared.

Preparation doesnt just make you better at your
job

It gives you a something special thats missing
even from seasoned writers. CONFIDENCE.

You can do that starting from your first contact
with a client.

Preparing to Work

First: Figure out your hourly rate and price
backwards from there instead of thinking up an
arbitrary number or pricing yourself down out of
low self-esteem.

Second: Ask your client questions. Its much
better to get potential roadblocks out of the way
early. And the more questions you ask, the more
discriminating you appear.

Third: Give them a contract. That way your client
knows exactly what to expect from you and what
theyre paying for. It also reduces the chances
for miscommunication or projects spiraling out of
control.

And yes this can happen. Easily.

Preparing To Write

Do you know why BATMAN has a giant computer in
that cave of his?

Its because he knows that knowledge can be the
difference between life and death.

When you begin a new project, do deep research on
the topic and get as much relevant information as
you can. Look at previous ads from the company,
ads from competitors and your target customers.
Market research is a really overwhelming process,
but Michael Fortins Marketing ESP is designed to
give you a leg up on this process.

Preparing For Follow-ups

Once youve finished a project, try and follow-up
with your client regularly. Ask them whether
theyve got other clients they can refer you to.
Ask for a testimonial, too. You can even offer a
bonus to people who make referrals.

Every 2 or 3 months, pop in and say hello. Ask how
the project went and turn your gig into a
relationship.
